The education tablet, designed to be an active enabler of digital learning, is the first of its type to be connected with the BharatGPT virtual assistant and will showcase AI/ML-based inter-lingual translation for Indian languages (Voice-2-Voice, Text-2-Text, etc) to facilitate language diversity.
EPIC Foundation (a non-profit organization) has launched the first AI-enabled tablet created in India for educational purposes. VVDN Technologies designed the indigenously made education tablet in partnership with MediaTek India and CoRover.ai, the tablets are embedded with unique repairable and upgradeable features to address the pressing concerns of the digital divide and the accumulation of electronic waste in India.
Two important facets of education and social empowerment will be addressed by the new product: it will increase demand for “Indian, repairable, sustainable” electronics products and brands in high-impact/high-volume categories; it will also remove logistical and financial barriers that keep schools from obtaining high-impact, repairable devices and extend the product’s lifespan.
The education tablet, which is the first of its kind to be integrated with the BharatGPT virtual assistant, aims to actively facilitate digital learning. It will showcase AI/ML-based inter-lingual translation for Indian languages (Voice-2-Voice, Text-2-Text, etc.) to support the country’s linguistic diversity and the inclusion of its citizens with disabilities.”We have big goals to increase the country’s total exports in the electronics sector, which is obviously important. However, when exports rise, imports rise as well because there is still very little value addition that occurs in the nation; a large portion is imported, assembled, and then re-exported or used for domestic consumption,” Krishnan explained.
