The RoboEdge AI Robotics Education Programme was launched by STL, an optical and digital solutions business, to equip young children in rural Maharashtra with cutting-edge technical capabilities. According to the press release, the program is a partnership with Robotex India, a non-profit organization committed to closing the digital gap.
The program was launched by STL and Robotex India in a small, friendly group setting, with Nanda Gaikwad, the Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Education, serving as the principal guest and Ganesh Dandage, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation’s controlling officer of education, as the guest of honor.According to the news announcement, 300 government schools in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Nandurbar, and Silvassa are now benefited by STL’s Digital Equalizer and Improved Learning (DEIL) Edutech program, which is built upon by the RoboEdge Programme.
The fact that the STL RoboEdge Program is being integrated into the curriculum rather than being a co-curricular activity is its strongest feature. According to Payal Rajpal, director of Robotex India, “This program has been designed in accordance with the directive of NEP 2020, ensuring students develop skills in digital literacy, cybersecurity, coding, AI and IoT, robotics, data science, and design thinking.”
The press release from the RoboEdge program states that its objective is to provide excellent instruction in next-generation technologies, beginning with digital literacy and coding and moving on to more complex subjects like robotics and artificial intelligence. In order to provide underprivileged children with the tools they need to stay on the cutting edge of technology and launch their careers, the program attempts to include these technologies into the heart of the school curriculum.
