Xiaomi, a global technology company, announced today the transformation of two schools in Tumkur, Karnataka, into Smart Schools, to make technology accessible to all. Xiaomi India has supplied classrooms at the Government Higher Primary School in Kadilapura and the Government Higher Primary School in Yelerampura with critical technological gadgets to improve students’ learning experiences. The program intends to improve the educational experience in these schools by giving students access to current educational materials and technologies.
Xiaomi’s Republic Day Sales power the initiative through its online platform mi.com, with Xiaomi India covering the entire cost of funding the project and installing printers, speakers, microphones, Xerox machines, TV screens, projectors, cameras, and pads in the classrooms, as well as CCTV cameras to ensure their safety. The schools have also been given 50 backpack bags and writing pads apiece.
These smart schools were inaugurated by distinguished guests such as Mrs. Pushpawali TN, Deputy Director of Public Instruction; Mr. Narsima Murthy, District in Charge; Mr. CV Nataraju, Block Education Officer; Mr. Rudesh, Block Resource Co-ordinator; Mr. Srivinas, SDMC; and students, teachers, and parents from the schools. This program will allow everyone to see the beneficial influence of technology on education and recognize joint efforts to create a brighter future for children.
