Amazon India has announced the registration dates for the fourth edition of its Machine Learning (ML) Summer School, an immersive program aimed at equipping students with vital ML skills and technologies from Amazon Scientists, preparing them for careers in the field. Registration is open from May 31 to June 21, 2024, with the free course running over four weekends in July. The program includes eight modules, such as Supervised Learning, Deep Neural Networks, Dimensionality Reduction, Unsupervised Learning, Sequential Models, Reinforcement Learning, Generative AI and LLMs, and Causal Inference.
The program is available to engineering students pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degrees at any recognized institute in India, expected to graduate in 2025 or 2026. Students must pass an assessment, with the top 3000 being admitted to the Summer School.
Rajeev Rastogi, Amazon’s Vice President of International Machine Learning, stated that the initiative aims to address the ML talent gap by preparing students for industry roles, with a strong focus on practical, application-driven learning to tackle real-world problems.
Since its inception in 2021, the ML Summer School has grown significantly. The 2023 edition saw over 61000 applicants, including 20000 women, building on the success of earlier iterations.
