Panjab University is set to host a Transfer of Technology (ToT) Conference scheduled for November 22-23, with the primary goal of providing a platform for scientists to present their innovations to industry experts. This conference also offers students the unique opportunity to acquire technology for their startup ventures in exchange for equity. The announcement of this upcoming event came during the conclusion of the Tech-Transfer Round Table, a collaborative effort between the MIC – AICTE Innovation Centre Chandigarh and the DST-Technology Enabling Centre (TEC) at Panjab University.
Themed “Enhancing Technology Transfer from Higher Education Institutions through Innovation Centre,” the conference aims to draw participants from the Institution’s Innovation Councils (IICs) across Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. Notably, sessions will feature discussions led by Ankush Gawri, Manager of the Indovation Centre Chandigarh, focusing on the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell initiatives and the broader objectives of Indovation Centres nationwide. TEC emphasized its pivotal role in promoting technology transfer within the region, underscoring its strong ties with industry and dedication to addressing technological challenges through collaborative academic endeavors.
