Physics Wallah online has seen increasing interest in learners opting for test preparation – NEET, JEE, UPSC, Gate and other exams
Edtech unicorn Physics Wallah (PW) has witnessed over 100 per cent growth in its online business for the academic year 2024-25.
The Vishwas Diwas, PW’s annual flagship event, witnessed over 200,000 registrations, resulting in revenue exceeding ₹100 crore within 12 days of the event’s commencement for the academic year.
Driving Growth
PW’s online division remains a key driver of growth for the edtech unicorn, contributing to nearly 60% of the company’s revenue, as stated by Atul Kumar, CEO of PW Online. The offline sector contributes 40% to the revenue.
“At present, PW online boasts 2.7 million paid app users. Our objective is to double our revenue in the current academic year,” Kumar stated.
“With a growing number of students appearing for board and competitive exams annually, there is a clear indication of PW’s expanding market potential,” Kumar emphasized.
PW online has observed a rising interest among learners opting for test preparation courses such as NEET, JEE, UPSC, Gate, and others.
“Our courses are priced at approximately one-third of competitors’ rates, while ensuring the quality of education. Among test prep courses, NEET is our top-selling one,” he remarked.
In the fiscal year 2022-23, the online paid course segment witnessed a 182% increase in enrollment compared to the previous year, while the in-house Artificial Intelligence (AI) education suite, ‘Alakh AI,’ has attracted over 1.5 million users within two months of its launch.
According to Prateek Maheshwari, co-founder of the edtech unicorn Physics Wallah, the company is set to surpass ₹2,000 crore in revenue for the financial year 2023-24 (FY24).
