The Department of School Education under the Ministry of Education has partnered with the National Book Trust through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya, a digital library. This initiative aims to provide children and adolescents in India with access to non-academic books. K. Sanjay Murthy emphasized the importance of non-academic literature in influencing future academic choices, while Sanjay Kumar highlighted the significance of developing reading habits. Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya will offer over 10,000 books in more than 100 languages within 2-3 years, addressing geographic accessibility issues and promoting cultural awareness and empathy among youth
