Bengaluru City University (BCU) has introduced affordable courses in artificial intelligence, data science, and technology, previously exclusive to costly private colleges. Starting in the academic year 2024-25, BCU is admitting students to these high-demand programmes on its campus, including specialised BC courses. This initiative aims to make these sought-after courses more accessible and economical for students. The university’s women’s college also offers diverse courses such as BCom, BSc (Fashion and Apparel Design), BBM (Business Analytics), industry-integrated commerce courses, and language programmes in Kannada, English, Hindi, French, and German. Technology-related courses like BCA (Artificial Intelligence), BCA (Data Science), BSc (Computer Science), and BSc (Mathematics) are also available, emphasizing industry-relevant skills. A university survey revealed strong student interest, with over 500 expressing intent to enroll, indicating a likely increase in admissions. Applications can be submitted online via the UUCMS portal. Vice Chancellor Professor Lingaraj Gandhi highlighted BCU’s dedication to providing job-oriented courses that meet market demands, enhancing students’ educational opportunities.
