Digii and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have partnered to introduce a new generative AI tool named DigiiAI in more than 20 educational institutions across India.
An official press release dated Wednesday, July 10, stated that in its initial phase, DigiiAI will utilize generative artificial intelligence (AI) to streamline administrative tasks, enhance classroom management, and provide personalized support for faculty members.
Institutions such as Manipal Academy of BFSI, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Bangalore, Chanakya University, The Apollo University, and Techno India University are among the Indian colleges selected for the DigiiAI rollout. The Bengaluru-based SaaS company explained that DigiiAI was developed to help educators save time by automating laborious tasks like taking attendance, preparing class schedules, documenting course files and student performance, and creating and evaluating assessments.
By using DigiiAI, faculty members can streamline the process of creating assessments. Digii mentioned that faculty can select Bloom’s taxonomy levels to generate questions best suited to desired learning outcomes, with various question formats available, including fill-in-the-blanks and multiple-choice questions.
DigiiAI is built on AWS’ generative AI technology, Amazon Bedrock, which provides access to a range of foundational AI models with various capabilities. Hemant Sahal, founder and CEO of Digii, stated that the collaboration has allowed them to effectively harness multiple AI models, ensuring a robust and scalable solution that enhances the teaching experience for faculty.
Looking ahead, Digii plans to expand the use cases of its AI tool to evaluate answers to subjective questions and offer adaptive assessments for students who take self-practice tests.
